Record the Task, Not Just the Subject
Write the subject, exact assignment, due date, and any materials or instructions needed. Break larger projects into steps such as research, first draft, and final check. Put the nearest deadlines beside a realistic estimate of the time required.
For example, “Math” is easy to overlook; “Complete questions 1–8 on page 42 by Thursday” is actionable. Mark a task complete only after checking it against the instructions, and keep a separate note when work is waiting on clarification from a teacher.
